Ten years ago, Sao Paulo's Rubens Barrichello arrived at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway a decade of Formula One experience and left with the winner’s cup, but not on the famous 2.5-mile oval. - Scott Adams
 

 
Barrichello essentially went to school in the first half of the race, being patient, adapting to running in packs and dealing with the turbulence. By Lap 148 he was in the top 10, and over the final 50 laps fought to remain there.

It’s an event that was unimaginable when it debuted on commercial radio in Chicago in July, 1992; taking over the 10:00 pm Saturday time slot from saxophonist David Sanborn’s show on WNUA. Less than three months later, The Sounds of Brazil racked up its first #1 listener rating from Arbitron; a feat that would be repeated 26  times over the years. Jullio Bittencourt photographed the inhabitants of this 22 story Sao Paulo, Brazil building in their windows, from which they communicated with one another. This abandoned building has since been cleared of its estimated 1,630 people, including 468 families and 316 children.
